You’ve spent a lot of time in the sun this summer!! Hopefully you’ve taken necessary precautions when exposing your skin in the sun. More than 2 million cases of skin cancer will be diagnosed this year in the United States. Most Americans will have one of these most common skin cancers: Basal cell carcinoma, Squamous cell carcinoma, or Melanoma and many may not even recognize the warning signs of skin cancer.

The best way to tell if you have skin cancer is to see a dermatologist. Anything on your skin that lasts for 2 weeks or longer and is growing, changing shape, bleeding, or itching is a possible sign of cancer. If it is caught early and removed, skin cancer has a high cure rate.

Dr Greene and his staff are offering complimentary skin cancer screenings for our members at The Seattle Athletic Club for one day in October. If interested in a free screening, please contact Wellness Director: Kendra Kainz at kkainz@sacdt.com to register!
